Daniele Antoniazzi – Un attimo prima
A.MORE gallery presents from May 22nd to June 14th 2025, the first solo exhibition by Daniele Antoniazzi, “Un attimo prima” curated by Domenico de Chirico.
In this exhibition, Daniele Antoniazzi focuses on A MOMENT BEFORE (UN ATTIMO PRIMA), which foretells what is about to happen. The works on display tell a multiplicity of wavering scenarios, balanced between event and decay, flesh and mud, subconscious and reality, existence and oblivion. Antoniazzi’s work is mainly based on the relationship between the figure and the surrounding space.
The scenes take shape through continuous stratifications of color, thanks to which subjects and environments, represented in a particularly nuanced way, become the protagonists of an elastic dance, spasmodically suspended between a wide dilation and a deep fusion. The result is ambiguous atmospheres, in which even the landscape takes part in the “psychic canvas in progress”. The colors used by the artist are intense, saturated and contrasting, but also nuanced and liquid. In this way Daniele Antoniazzi creates a suspended and dynamic atmosphere. His palette often includes shades that oscillate between earthy nuances and vibrant colors, reflecting a balance between heat and cold, between light and darkness.
In his works, every element is questioned and interacts with the surrounding context, giving rise to unexpected, changeable and unstable configurations. Apparently ordinary situations are subverted by extraneous presences or by unusual attitudes, outside their natural context, generating visual suggestions that are never completely clear, but always capable of evoking sensations that are both familiar and disturbing, in a precarious balance that continues to flicker. The result is a visual universe in which chaos, the unexpected, anomaly and a sweet clumsiness become indispensable elements for the flourishing of new aesthetic and narrative solutions.
The artist does not limit himself to drawing lines between past and future, but, A MOMENT BEFORE (UN ATTIMO PRIMA), he constructs parallel universes in which everyday reality is constantly questioned by alienating elements, which contaminate the scene and alter the spectator’s perception.
